Bona Fiber Pad (Sold in Singles)

Bona Fiber Pads are designed to create a brushed wood effect on timber floors without the need for specialist wire brushing equipment. Used dry with a single-disc machine, they remove softer wood fibres from the surface, enhancing the natural grain and texture of the floor.

Unlike traditional abrasives, the open fibre construction creates a more natural brushed finish while maintaining a consistent appearance across the floor. On softer timbers such as pine and spruce, the effect is more pronounced, while hardwoods like oak and ash achieve a lighter textured finish.

How it works
After sanding to 100–120 grit, the Bona Fiber Pad is used dry to brush the timber surface. Softer grain is gently removed while harder grain remains, creating texture and enhancing the wood's natural appearance. The floor can then be lightly sanded and finished with oil or lacquer as required.
